Halloween:
One of my favorite times of the year... Pumpkins, costumes, and eating candy till you puke. There is perhaps no better embodiment of fall and it's spirit. The crunchy leaves blowing across empty streets. The smell of woodsmoke and apples in the air. It's kind of become a tradition that we carve up a bunch of pumpkins while sipping wine or cider, and then slink off up to the Robinson's cabin to celebrate with our own private little party.
Current: It's just about time to start thinking about spooky creepy day again!!! I think this year's costume will be the recycled bits of pirate from my wedding reception, unless something better comes along.
The Cabin is in pretty good shape at the moment, with a decent woodpile and no major work going on this year, so it should be nice and cozy and have plenty of room. The usual suspects should mark their calendars now! Halloween games, tons of food and drink, and good company means that a good time should be had by all... way better than handing out candy to snot-nosed kids!

Halloween 2004: After doing next to nothing last year, we are gearing up early for the season this year. We had a little carving party this past weekend and got some pumpkins all dressed up for halloween.
Halloween 2002: This year was pretty laid back I hacked up a few pumpkins and there's a party in the works. Spidey again reigns supreme, although I may have to retire the costume after this year. But not before I terrorize all the girls at work.
